Locks and changes in an academic year
What happens when an academic year or work surface is locked, and how changes should be handled afterward.
Locks and changes in an academic year
Ressursflyt uses locks to protect data when planning is finished or under controlled review.
Types of locks
- The municipality can lock an academic year.
- Schools can encounter separate locks on teacher, assistant, and department surfaces.
- When something is locked, normal edits and often undo/redo are blocked.
What should you do if something must change?
- First check whether you have a permission that allows edits after lock.
- If not, follow the municipality's established change process.
- Always clarify who owns the decision before making manual adjustments.
Why this matters
Locks make reports, resource allocation, and GSI source data more trustworthy across schools.
